Over the weekend of February 25th-26th, CS:GO broke its record for the highest number of concurrent players. The game first experienced a surge in popularity back in April 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced people to stay home and resulted in limited social and recreational options. Now, almost three years later, CS:GO has reached a new peak in popularity that surpasses its previous records.
